Getting started with SPH Writing Support Services

Make an Appointment

The Writing Support Services appointment service requires a one-time, quick-and-easy registration. After registering for an account, you can make, modify, or cancel an appointment at any time.

To register for an account, proceed to Register for a New Account. If you already have an account, proceed to Make an Appointment. If you have questions or encounter glitches, please contact us.

Keep the following two things in mind:

1. When making an appointment, remember that we will need time before your appointment to critically review and effectively comment on your document. As a rule of thumb, for documents longer than 5 pages, allow at least 2 days for review, excluding the weekend.

2. After making an appointment, e-mail the document that you are working on, as well as a copy of your assignment and grading rubric, if applicable, to your selected Writing Support Services team member.

NOTE: Writing Support Services is closed on weekends, so the earliest that we can begin to review a document submitted on Friday is the following Monday. Thus, if you are making an appointment on a Friday, you should schedule it on the Tuesday or, preferably, Wednesday of the following week to allow us time to review your submitted document.
