UTHealth Graphic and Editorial Standards

The UTHealth Brand Standards website explains how to properly display the university's logo signature and how to refer to it in written correspondence. Accordingly, this website provides UTHealth's editorial and web standards, among others.

The Toolbox houses the UTHealth Multimedia Library, which contains electronic files available for use by all UTHealth employees, faculty, and students.

Writing and Publishing in the Health and Biomedical Sciences

Wiley-Blackwell, a leading publisher of healthcare journals, has developed two resources to teach readers how to write for publication.

Writing for Publication in Nursing and Healthcare helps the reader to develop skills in writing articles, book reviews, and other forms of publications by offering guidance, tips, examples, and activities. AJE Author Resource Center

American Journal Experts (AJE) is "a growing team of scientists, researchers, language experts, software developers, and publishing industry veterans" that is "dedicated to improving the way new research and discoveries are shared."

The AJE Author Resource Center offers resources, including articles, videos, and webinars, to help researchers along their journey to publication.

COPE: Committee on Publication Ethics

The Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) has compiled a minimum set of criteria that journals are assessed against when applying for membership in COPE, OASPA, DOAJ, or WAME. COPE encourages using these criteria to assess a journal.
